X5th: Connect Five Dots is a strategic puzzle inspired by the classic Five Dots pen-and-paper game. Create lines of exactly five dots, keep the board alive and compete for a place in the global Hall of Fame.

How to Play

The game begins with a cross-shaped pattern of dots.

Place one new dot to complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of exactly five. Each completed line earns one point, but every move changes the possibilities available later.

Green guides show the lines available from the selected position. If a move can create more than one line, choose the option you want before confirming it.

The rules are simple. Building a high score requires careful planning.

Global Hall of Fame

Submit your best result and compete for a place among the top 25 X5th players. Hall of Fame entries show the score, nickname and country flag.

An Internet connection is required only to view and submit online results.

Controls

• Left mouse button: place a dot, select a line or confirm an action
• Right mouse button and drag: move the board
• Mouse wheel: zoom in or out
• Tab: switch between available lines, when supported by the current build
• Esc: close a dialog or exit, depending on the current screen

X5th is available as separate 64-bit downloads for:

• Windows
• Linux (tested on Ubuntu)

No installation is required if the downloadable archives contain portable builds. If installation is required, replace this sentence with the correct instruction.
